I wish I could tell you where I got this recipe…I have no idea where it came from! But I’ve made it many times and absolutely love it.
Scones
2 cups flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
5 tbsp cold butter
1 cup buttermilk
1 1/2 cup blueberries
zest of 1/2 lemon
Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt and sugar). Cut in cold butter. Mixture should look like course crumbs.
Make a well in the center and pour in the buttermilk. Fold everything together. Do not overwork. Fold blueberries and zest into batter being careful not to mash them.
Separate dough into two equal lumps. Form into circles or cut into fourths. (I use a cute little mini-scone pan instead.) Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Glaze
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
2 cups powdered sugar
zet of 1/2 lemon
1 tbsp butter
Mix lemon juice and sugar together in a microwave safe bowl. Add zest and butter. Microwave for 30 seconds on high. Whisk glaze until smooth, then drizzle over scones.

Yummmmm!! You know that your Nestle bar recipe is on repeat at my house. My adult kids love it and I’ve changed it up a bit to add mini M&M’s! Can’t wait to try this one too!

YAY I love that recipe. It’s my standard “oh no, I forgot I was supposed to bring a treat to this-or-that-event and now I have to make something super fast” recipe. lol!
Thank you so much for the recipe I can’t wait to make it and share it.
I love experimenting with scone recipes! Looking forward to baking these.
