It’s a Wonderful Life…putting the “gush” in Classic Movie Gush

CGM title header

There are some movies that are so far beyond fabulous that I probably just shouldn’t even try talking about them…because my ability to intelligently express myself gets lost in my over-the-top love.

It’s a Wonderful Life is one of those movies.

It may also be the first movie Clay Morgan and I have agreed on in several weeks. Which is good because it IS Christmas time…so, you know, harmony and agreeableness amongst your classic movie gushers is only right. Here’s what you’re in for this time around:

  • The longest synopsis ever given in a Classic Movie Gush episode
  • How both our states are rep-ed in this movie!
  • What I’ve wished would happen at every dance I’ve ever gone to
  • Hints at what’s coming up next year.
  • And why this movie is simply the best.

Please, please, please say you’ve seen It’s a Wonderful Life! Do you love it?

p.s. As always, feel free to throw out suggestions for future flick picks. Miss a past Gush? Just take a little jaunt on over to our YouTube channel

p.p.s. Time to announce the winner of last week’s Rafflecopter giveaway. Joan Arning, you’re the lucky winner. An email is on its way.

p.p.p.s. Merry Christmas, folks. I’m taking the next couple weeks off from blogging, but I’ll be back after the New Year with fun stuff galore.

    1. I love It’s a Wonderful Life. I don’t know how anyone couldn’t love it! I usually watch it every year on Christmas Eve. Frank Capra is so awesome, as is Jimmy Stewart. By the way, two of the child actors from this movie were in the Christmas movie The Bishop’s Wife, too. The one that ya’ll mentioned (young George Bailey) and the little girl who played Zuzu.

      Merry Christmas! =)

      1. P.S. Alfalfa (aka the guy who opened up the dance floor into the pool) also has a connection to White Christmas: he’s the sisters’ brother. When they show a picture of him, it’s Alfalfa. =) I love seeing little connections like that.
