Hey friends! FUN stuff happening this weekend. I’m having a launch party in good ol’ Iowa to celebrate the release of my debut novel, Made to Last. It should be pretty fun.
BUT even if you don’t live anywhere nearby, you can participate.
And if you do, in addition to making me super happy, there might be a little prize action in it for you.
I will be giving away FIVE prize packages following the party. Prizes include:
- Book pack with books by Becky Wade, Katie Ganshert, Elizabeth Camden and Anne Mateer
- $25 Target gift card
- Autumn pack: Threshold candle set, pumpkin lantern candle holder, autumn M&Ms
- $25 Amazon gift card
- Coffee pack: Pumpkin spice coffee, coffee mug, Lindt chocolates, pumpkin spice M&Ms
So here’s how to get involved from afar AND get entered in the giveaway.
1) Tweet, Facebook or Instagram a photo during the party using the hash tag #MadetoLast. It can be a photo of you holding up the book, making a sad face due to the fact that you’re not actually at the party, smiling about really anything…just a fun and somehow–related photo with the hash tag.
2) Sign up to receive my e-newsletter. This is a new thing for me and I’m not sure how often I’ll send the newsletter–probably not more than quarterly. But I’ll keep it fun. Videos may be involved. Sign up to receive the newsletter here.
Do both of the above tomorrow between 4 and 7 p.m. and I’ll be sure to enter you into the giveaway. I’ll announce giveaway winners next Friday right here on the blog.

Homecoming tonight. Fun and also not.
I so wish I could be at the party! My heart is there, friend. My heart. is. there.

Oh fun, Homecoming. Game or dance or both? I think you would be a fabulously fun dance chaperone, FYI. You should definitely do that someday…your kids will love it. 🙂
Wish you could be here too!!!
Happy Book Release Party Weekend!! Be sure to take and post lots of pictures!!

Our boys will be home this weekend, exactly what this mama needs!!!

I am horrible at remembering to take photos but I’m sure others will. Haha! 🙂 Wish you could be here, too, but I know you’ll have a wonderful time with the boys. You’re such a good mom! 🙂

Thanks a bunch, Janelle. It was a fabulously fun party. 🙂
Celebrating you, Melissa, and the release of Made to Last! it was so wonderful to be with you in Indy last Sunday on the for-real release day!! I’m about half-way through the book now — and I keep thinking, “This was so worth the wait!” Love you, my friend!!

Oh I’m so glad you’re enjoying it, Beth. I get nervous when people read it–probably especially so when other author friends read it. So your encouragement means a lot. 🙂
Celebrating from Oklahoma! Loving this book! A main character that’s a girl that likes to build houses! Sounds just like me! Love it!
Author
Thanks, Dani! And thanks for celebrating from Oklahoma. Truth is, I don’t really know much at all about building a house…I’m not even good with crafts. So I had to do a teensy bit of research to pull off Miranda. Haha!

Thanks soooo much for coming to the party, Cheryl…and for instagramming too. It was so fun to see you and everyone from Hope!
